Instant Pot Kidney Beans

Kidney beans are easy to make in the instant pot even if they are not soaked. Instant pot makes the beans so perfect and soft.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup red kidney beans
  • 3.5 cup broth/ water

Instructions
 

  • Wash and rinse the beans with warm water 2 - 3 times before adding them to the instant pot.
  • Add water to the pot and add rinsed kidney beans and a pinch of salt. Salt is optional and can skip.
  • Close the lid and turn the pressure valve to seal.
  • Cook on manual pressure cook mode, high for 45 minutes. It will take around 8 - 10 minutes to come to pressure.
  • Wait for natural pressure release that might take 10 minutes.
  • Remove the beans from the excess liquid. Kidney beans are ready to use now.
